European trees. Three discovery footpaths allow visitors to appreciate this unique site where
you will find 2700 rare species on 35 hectares : a Sequoia of 46 meters, Thuja with 80 trunks,
and specimens of bushes from the five continents !

Located in an old cellar, this museum presents an
important collection of Gien China, including examples from a wide range of production,
techniques and styles.
Inspiration for the china comes from the Renaissance period and the Far East. Recent examples
include very contemporary designs.

The International Hunting Museum was established in
1952 in the château of Gien which was built overlooking the Loire in 1484 by Anne of Beaujeu,
the daughter of Louis XI.
For both hunters and art enthusiasts, this museum has numerous souvenirs on display in admirable,
surrowdings tapestries, paintings (100 Desportes), weapons, a trophy of Claude Hettier de
Boislambert, a collection of horns and venery studs...
